One of my favourite bits of private equity jargon is the always popular BIMBO. No, this has nothing to do with the new blond in accounts.
In the private equity world, a BIMBO refers to a combination of an MBO and MBI, a "buy-in management buyout". A new executive (often an incoming CEO) teams up with an incumbent management team to buy the business from its old owners-- private equity helps fund the transaction.
